Modification: Veteran O’ the Wierd West: I would like to add to the other benefits of this Edge a monster identification roll. How this would work is that when the posse encounters a creature, any player with this Edge can make a roll using Smarts or an appropriate Skill. If they suceed, then they have identified the monster and depending upon the roll determine weaknesses, strengths, or other useful information. If they fail, then they either can’t identify the monster or misidentify it. Players can recieve bonuses if their characters are from the same region as the monster and/or if (and this part does require them to talk to the GM before the campaign starts) the monster was what/of the same kind as the A monster that gave them the drawback that they take draw when taking the Edge they have encountered before. The reasoning behind this is that Wierd West Veterans the PCs have seen a lot caught glimpses of the supernatural stuff behind the scenes and bear the marks to prove it know it, and I think that they would have learned something about the various supernatural creatures that have shown up after Gettysburg. Those with Arcane Background or Veteran O’ the Wierd West edges get a bonus to the roll, as they actually have seen and know more.
